Like any good business, the West Michigan Airport Authority is continually reassessing the needs of Tulip City Airport to keep it in good working condition. From big picture planning to budgeting for daily upkeep, the WMAA takes these decisions very seriously and wants to keep residents and the aviation community up-to-date with the latest projects and plans.

$281,000 grant from MDOT for the rehabilitations of the east taxiway connector and repair to joints in the runway. Schedule for this work is TBD.
WMAA issued an RFP for Concept & Budget Study revision. 5 years ago, the City of Holland looked at options for updating the property structure and terminal of the airport. Since the WMAA was formed, that report needs to be updated. with the addition of a few more modest options.
Consideration of small immediate improvements to the existing office building. This building is more than 60 years old and was never intended for office space.
Approval for the installation of a radio station site for the Federal Aviation Administration as part of their Surveillance and Broadcast Services program. This program is designed to improve safety conditions for aircraft by providing the most accurate aircraft identification and positioning to date.
